Access
See exactly who can use each number
Access to a number is one thing: its messages and the codes it receives. The only other choice is who can change who else has it. Every code copy is written to that number’s history, so shared access never means untraceable access.
Number classes
Two classes of number
Most services that send you a code accept a Standard number. A few only accept a carrier-issued line.
Held by your company
A US number your organization owns and shares. It receives SMS from most services — vendor accounts, dashboards, sign-ups, testing.
Carrier-issued
The class for services that turn Standard numbers away. Not available yet.
Developers
Messages your code can read
Webhooks notify your code when a message arrives. Fetch the message and its detected code through the scoped read-only API, so a test suite can read a code without a human in the loop.
